Samsung Galaxy Chromebook, incoming variant with 16 GB of RAM
A Samsung Galaxy Chromebook with 16 GB of RAM might be in the works. The variants presented in the course of the CES 2020 will stop at a maximum of 8 GB which could be more than enough for the scenarios of typical usage of the Chromebook, but on the other hand, here we are talking about high-end systems, which cost approximately $ 1,000 (in Italy they never arrived) and with Intel processors powerful. There remains the problem of the absence of specialized software, but also for those who make intensive use of multitasking in a web browser (read: never drops below the 50 open tabs) it is easy to exceed the limit of 8 GB.
At the moment the only clue that emerged was a change in the source code of Chrome OS, indicating that They, the code name for the showy (at least the orange version) chromebook south Korean, it can double the maximum amount available. We do not know if it will come out a new variant of the previous models or is this preliminary work for the next generation. For the moment there seem to be plans to double the internal storage, where the maximum fine is 256 GB.
