Robert Downey Jr. would not want to be nominated for an Oscar
Robert Downey Jr., who plays Tony Stark/Iron Man in the cinematic universe of Marvel, this week he spoke with Howard Stern in the movie. Stern, who has claimed to love Endgame, has suggested that Downey should be honored for his performance: “Since it is a superhero movie, turn up their nose,“ said Stern about the commission of the Academy, continuing: “The performance is excellent. Is the character absolutely credible.“
To these statements, the actor replied: “I Am so happy that you have mentioned because we were talking to [a campaign for an Oscar for my work]. And I said, ‘don't do it’“.
There is no official proposal for a nomination for an Oscar Robert Downey Jr. as an actor, even if the director of Iron Man Jon Favreau has declared to be in favour: “he definitely Has my vote,“ said Favreau to Variety. “I think he was able to discover and explore the dimensions of the character over the course of many, many movies. But I have to say that if you look at, especially the way it started and ended in her performance between the first and Endgame, there was an arc, really thoughtful for the character, both in its interpretation in the way in which all of the directors have contributed to that character“.
