The new frontier to the filmmakers of the third millennium seems to be the one of the movies inspired by the comics: today turn a cinecomic is a must have for any filemaker, a bit like having a villa in Santa Monica or in Malibu.
Even Ridley Scott, famed director of Alien and Blade Runner, has succumbed to the charm of the transposition of the comic book and is in talks to direct his first cinecomic.
The british film maker, in fact, could sit behind the camera, of Queen and Country, the adaptation for Fox of the graphic novel work of Greg Rucka, already winner of the Eisner Award 2002.
The series Queen and Country: Operation Broken Ground, length 32 numbers, started in 2001 and ended in 2007.
Narrating the story of a fictional british secret service and the adventures of three agents of the Special Operations called Minders, Queen and Country focuses on a woman named Tara Chace, an agent of the first floor of the secret service, which is used as bait to attract and capture an international terrorist after an attack in the heart of London.
In 2013, there had already been a first attempt in bringing Queen and Country to the movies with Ellen Page in the role of Tara.
