Ridley Scott confirmed the plans for the next film, Alien, with less aliens and more IA

Published on Dec 05, 2017

We discussed only a few days ago but now, Ridley Scott, the director of the recent Alien: Covenant, is back to talk about the sequel to the movie about the xenomorph that, apparently, will always be less focused on the figure of the alien and on Artificial Intelligence.

During a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Scott has in fact confirmed the arrival of the new film (not yet made official by 20th Century Fox), explaining want to put the xenomorfi.

Here are his words:

We'll do another film. I believe that the right way forward is to put aside the aliens. People tell me, “You have to put more aliens, more faces with the Facehugger, and more broken ribs [by the aliens]” and so I put several in the Covenant, and they were also good. But now I think that, if I have to put again the hand to the saga, it will be necessary that I find the most interesting solutions and, from this point of view, I believe that Artificial Intelligence is becoming a real danger and, for this reason, it is more interesting.

The film, still without a release date, according to Scott should arrive in the cinemas towards the end of 2019, or, at the latest, in the early months of 2020, while the shooting should start in November.

What do you think? Do you agree with the vision of the director on the direction that it should take the new sequel? Please let us know via a comment below!
