Qualcomm wants to lock the iPhone in Germany: filed bail of 1.3 billion
Qualcomm Incorporated today announced that it has deposited the security deposit to cover potential damages incurred by Apple for a total of € 1.34 billion (Euro). The security deposit is required in order for Qualcomm to be able to comply with the injunction established by the Court last December 20, 2018, which has declared Apple guilty of violating the patent of Qualcomm on the energy-saving technology used in smartphones.
The Court has ordered Apple to cease the sale, marketing and import for sale in Germany of all the iPhone that violate the patent. He also ordered Apple to withdraw these iPhone retailers and third parties in Germany.
