PUBG: Brendan Green leaves the development team to create a new division
Brendan "PlayerUnknown" Greene, the creator of PUBG, today announced it has left the development team in charge of the popular battle royale to establish within the company (PUBG Corporation), a new division, called PUBG Special Projects, which will focus on the research and development of new technologies to implement in new multiplayer games.
Greene leaves then the headquarters of the company in Seoul and moved to Amsterdam, at the new headquarters of PUBG Corp open last year. The creator of the popular battle royale will, however, continue to play an advisory role in the development team PUBG but will no longer be at the head of the project, a role that will be played by Taeseok Jang, the current art director of the game.
Online experiences and spaces can connect in ways that I only dreamed of when I'm sitting in front of a computer about 30 years ago and it is on those dreams that will build our division PUBG Special Projects where, together with a team of developers and researchers, we will explore new possibilities of interactions and connections within the space of the game.
