Pokémon Ultrasole and Ultraluna will be the last title in the series for the 3DS
Game Freak is happy with the work and the Pokémon Ultrasole and Ultraluna will be the last titles in the series to come out on the Nintendo 3DS.
Game Freak is sure to be able to fully exploit the potential of the portable console of Nintendo has confirmed that Pokémon Ultrasole and Ultraluna will be the last games in the series Pokémon to come out on 3DS.
To say it was Shigeru Ohmori, director of Game Freak, in an interview with IGN:
During the production of X and Y, we tried to push the 3DS to the limit – and convinced that we have succeeded. But when they arrived at the Moon and the Sun, we have completely redesigned the system, managing to push the console even further.
With Pokémon Ultrasole and Ultraluna, out on November 17, however, this race seems to come to an end:
With Ultrasole and Ultraluna, we tried to push ourselves even further, to the absolute limit, and we believe that this is the maximum that we can do. For this reason, we treat Ultrasole and Ultraluna as the culmination of our work with the 3DS.
These statements, therefore, seem to confirm further the development of a game in the main series of Pokémon for Nintendo Switch, which was already talked about at the last E3.
