Parallels Desktop 15 passes to the API Metal Graphics Apple

Parallels has announced version 15 of its software for desktop virtualization for the Mac, offering support for DirectX 11 using Apple Metal, native support for Sidecar macOS Catalina, and many other improvements.

Parallels Desktop 15 is the first iteration of the software platform to support DirectX 11 using the graph API Metal with hardware acceleration of the Apple.

The transition Metal should lead to a significant increase in performance – Parallels says that the rendering of 3D graphics is up to 15% faster, while the app Microsoft Office should boot up to 80% faster.

The advanced graphics support expands the number of Windows apps that users can run it on your Mac, as Autodesk 3ds Max 2020, Lumion, ArcGIS Pro and Master Series.

The players in the meantime can't wait to run their favorite titles at a higher speed, with games the likes of FIFA 19, Age of Empires Definitive Edition, Fallout 4, Madden NFL 19, Crysis 3, and Mark of the Ninja: Remastered.

Once macOS Catalina will be launched in the autumn, the support Sidecar Parallels will allow users to wirelessly connect their iPad to their Mac to use it as a second display in Windows. There are also new options for the Touch Bar for Apple to Pencil, including the Pen mode, Eraser, and Mouse. Parallels says that the support for the additional features of Catalina is currently in development and will be introduced around the release of macOS 10.15.

In particular, the virtualization software provides a better integration with macOS and more in general, like the ability to use thumbnails of the screens in the Windows applications and the ability to drag images from Safari, Photos, and other apps Mac serial.

In addition, Parallels Desktop 15 supports a new category of Bluetooth-enabled devices, allowing users to connect a controller to the Xbox One, a Logitech keyboard Craft, IRISPen, some devices IoT (such as appliances and smart bands smart), and more. There is also support for Bluetooth Low Energy, which allows you to run an Xbox game on a virtual machine Windows 10.
