New Mutants: Antonio Banderas in the cast
As reported by the Tracking Board, Antonio Banderas has joined the cast of New Mutants. The scene after the credits of the film had to introduce the Left in the X-Men Universe film, played by Jon Hamm. The Fox has decided to replace it with Banderas, who will play a villain.
The source also reports that the character of Warlock was cut due to budget issues.
The release date of the New Mutants was recently postponed from April 13 to 22 February 2019 and then to the next on August 2.
The film will have to undergo significant changes because it is Fox not considered quite scary and there will be additional filming rather full-bodied.
The film was inspired by the saga of comics of the Demon Bear, created by Chris Claremont and Bob McLeod, and tells of a frightening entity that exists only in the mind of Danielle Moonstar, aka Mirage.
New Mutants is directed by Josh Boone and written by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, who have already worked with the director in the Fault of the stars.
In the cast included Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones) in the role of Wolfsbane, Anya Taylor-Joy (Split) in the role of Magik, Henry Žaga (Teen Wolf, Thirteen) in the role of Sunspot,
Blue Hunt (The Originals) in the role of Danielle Moonstar, Charlie Heaton (Stranger Things) in the role of Cannonball, and Alice Braga (I am Legend, Predators, Elysium) in the role of dr.ssa Cecilia Reyes.
