Netflix: the heroes of Marvel may not be able to appear in other projects for 2 years?
It seems that the characters that have debuted in the show – as well as the same show – will be effectively excluded from any other new project is not Netflix for two years from the date of their closure; it follows that these phantom clauses would lose effectiveness on October 15, 2020 for Iron Fist, on 22 October 2020 for Luke Cage and on 29 November 2020 for Daredevil.
This clause does not seem, however, prevent the actors of these shows to appear in other projects Marvel not Netflix; both Stan Lee and Alfre Woodard have appeared as different characters in both to Netflix for Marvel Studios.
THR noted that The Punisher – whose second season is scheduled to debut in January – is not part of the original agreement, Marvel/Netflix, and then may (or maybe yes) not be subject to this clause. However, from the moment that The Punisher has made his debut in Daredevil, the terms of the contract are very unclear.
