Questioned by The Hollywood Reporter about the future of Matt after this final “full of hope”, Cox confessed: “At this point, I don't know if there is going to do other seasons of the year” (Warning: the following spoiler on the end of the season).

Of the rest, the finale of Season 3 seems to have given the characters a few final, with Wilson Fisk, played by Vincent D'onofrio, back in prison and Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) who is reunited with the friends Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) and has plans to open a new law firm. However, the final scenes leave any doubt about what will happen to Benjamin in the joint crew got together.

“But if this were so,” continued Cox, “I think that will be an interesting challenge for the writers, because I don't think we can do another season in which Matt is so isolated, so alone and so broken and angry. I think that to avoid being a broken record, we should find a Matt Murdock who, at least initially, have an attitude that is slightly different in respect of the persons that he loves, and towards himself, and towards God. ”

The new showrunner Erik Oleson was just as uncertain about the prospects of a fourth season, but certainly more optimistic: “I can tell you that I am very confident to do a season 4. There was still any kind of official,” he said in an interview published at the beginning of this week,”but if there will be, I am very confident that I'll be part of it.”

However, it seems that the feedback on social media for the TV series from Marvel on Netflix has declined dramatically over time, which may not only explain the cancellations already announced but also put in doubt the survival of Daredevil, Jessica Jones and The Punisher.
