Mike Deodato Jr. leave the Marvel
The designer leaves the House of Ideas after more than 20 years.
The designer brazilian Mike Deodato Jr. announced that, at the end of his run on the Savage Avengers, will leave the Marvel universe after 24 years of honorable service.
Deodato explained that it was a dream to draw these characters for so long and that his decision was influenced by wanting to dedicate more time to projects and creator-owned.
After working briefly for the DC and the Image in the ’90s, Deodato was one of the designers of the tip of the Marvel of the last 20 years of working on Incredible Hulk, Elektra, Thor, and Amazing Spider-Man than the Avengers, New Avengers and Dark Avengers, often in collaboration with Brian Michael Bendis. He recently signed Thanos, Infinity Wars, and Old Man Logan.
Savage Avengers will debut in the USA in may. Texts by Gerry Duggan, Deodato illustrate this particular team of Avengers that will meet Conan with Wolverine, Venom, Punisher, Elektra, Brother Voodoo.
