Microsoft Word and PowerPoint now support Split View on the iPad

Microsoft today released updates to its suite of Office apps for iPad, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. In particular, Word, and PowerPoint for iPad now supports Split View, which allows you to open two documents simultaneously side-by-side.

You can access the Split View when you click and hold a document and drag it to the left or right side of the screen. To exit the mode, simply drag the scroll line at the center of the screen to the left or right to close one of the documents and view the other in full screen.

Microsoft is also working to implement the full support for the new controls trackpad introduced in iPadOS 13.4, but these are not yet available. The basic functionality of the trackpad is present, but Microsoft still has work to do to implement support for the full set of features.
