Microsoft Teams, just a GIF to steal all the accounts of a company
Microsoft Teams has a vulnerability rather serious that allows you to take control of the entire pool of accounts of a company, and steal their sensitive data. It is enough that a single employee to display a GIF properly infected because this will propagate automatically across the network, executing arbitrary code and giving the hacker valuable information. The problem is with the desktop versions and the Web service: the app for Android and iOS are safe.
The vulnerability was discovered by researchers of security company CyberArk, and has been reported to Microsoft, which has already taken steps to develop a corrective patch. The patch is in distribution right for some time. Clearly the upgrade is strongly recommended, especially for IT administrators.
