Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige responds to accusations of Martin Scorsese
Kdevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios and Chief Creative Officer of Marvel Entertainment, has chosen to tell her about the disparaging statements made by Martin Scorsese, wherein the esteemed director has stated that the Marvel movies are “not cinema“:
“I think it's not true,“ said Feige during an interview. “I think that it is unpleasant. I think that I and all those who work on these films they adore the film, love the movie, adore going to the cinema, adore to watch a community experience in a cinema full of people... I Think it's funny for us to take our success and use it to take risks and go in different places.
“Everyone has a different definition of cinema,“ he continued. “Everyone has a different definition of art. Everyone has a different definition of risk. Some people do not think that it is cinema. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Everyone has the right to repeat that opinion. Everyone has the right to write articles on that opinion. And I can't wait to find out what will happen next. But in the meantime, we will continue to do film“.
