Marvel – Spider-Gwen ends in July
It started as a simple on-shot during the event, Spider-Verse 2015, in which we discovered an alternate universe in which Gwen Stacy is not dead but has, instead, obtained the powers ragneschi, and became Spider-Woman. His adventures will end this summer.
Together with the advances of July, Latour has announced via Twitter that Spider-Gwen #34 will be the last number in the series. The author wanted to insist on the fact that this is not a cancellation, but a decision taken by both the publisher by the authors. In the last issue we will see Gwen's face his biggest battle, a battle that will need to be addressed, with or without a mask.
No. Spider-Gwen wasn't cancelled.
But there's always a shelf life to limit to people's attention, so we decided a couple of years ago to work towards ending it the way we wanted.
Almost no one gets that chance. That meant we had to take it. https://t.co/e1EkohoLHL

From the first appearance of the heroine, we are often seen outside the comics: animated series, several video games. Latour declares: “All I can say is that it has been an incredible journey. [...] A small idea has become a project that has lasted 41 numbers up to #34. Transposed on almost every form of media, has inspired countless artists and cosplayers. Gwen Stacy has changed our lives forever – and now she gives us a final gift – the ability to wrap his story in the way that we wanted to do.”
Spider-Gwen #34 will be available from the 18th of July.
