Lucca Comics & Games 2019: guests BAO Publishing
More announced attendance for the next edition of Lucca Comics & Games: in collaboration with BAO Publishing, the organization of the convention will bring in the tuscan city Zerocalcare (winner of the Premio Gran Guinigi in 2012), Cliff Chiang (directly from the DC Comics), Ramón K. Pérez (several times winner of the Eisner Award), and the twins Gabriel Bá and Fábio Moon.
If Zerocalcare there is no need of the presentation, the more well-known works of Chiang are the “Human Target”, “Architecture & Morality”, “Green Arrow and Black Canary”, all released by DC Comics. For BAO Publishing has made Cliff, the logo of the publishing house. Always for the same publishing house, in 2011, drawing “Greendale”, the transposition of the name of the band, Neil Young, and in 2016, teamed with Brian K. Vaughan, “Paper Girls,” a series nominated for the Eisner Awards for “Best new series”.
The illustrator, cartoonist and designer Ramón K. Pérez boasts collaborations with Marvel and DC Comics, Lucasarts, Hasbro, and Cartoon Network. For BAO Publishing realizes the adaptation in a modern key of the classic of English literature “Jane Eyre”, from the title “Jane”, on texts of screenwriter Aline Brosh Mckenna. Gabriel Bá and his twin brother Fábio Moon have numerous graphic novels, including “Daytripper” (Vertigo), “Two brothers” and “How to talk to girls at parties” (on text of Neil Gaiman), the latter both published in Italy by BAO Publishing.
