Kuo on the future of Apple: the viewer, AR in 2020, Apple Car between 2023 and 2025
Ming-Chi Kuo, a reliable analyst currently with TF International Securities, believes that the future of Apple will depend on the launch of the much-rumored Apple Car and a g-AR.
The analyst said that the Apple Car will be launched between 2023 and 2025. The rumor on the car now circulate from time to time, swept then by the voices of a “just” software for the autonomous guide to grant the licence to third-party manufacturers (like CarPlay). But apparently, Apple is reportedly thinking about both things. Below are the 4 points of the Kuo-thought:
The reasons are the following: (1) a potential strong demand for a renewal of the automotive industry, with a redefinition due to the new technologies. It is the same situation with the smartphone market 10 years ago; (2) the benefits of the technological leadership of Apple could redefine the self and to differentiate the Apple Car from the products of rivals; and (3) the service of Apple will grow significantly by entering in the huge market of the car via the Apple Car, and (4) Apple can achieve better integration between hardware, software and services compared to competitors in the electronics market and potential competitors in the automotive industry.
But that's not all. Kuo believes that Apple will add a new product to its line-up with a display AR. According to the analyst, this could be presented in 2020. An idea that has its why, and, above all, of the bases. The company from Cupertino is indeed working very much for the software implementation of the augmented reality by ARKit. The next logical step would therefore be a product combining the software experience and the hardware.
