Kuo: iPad Pro 12.9 - 'and MacBook Pro, 16' display mini-LED in the second half of the 2020

According to the well-known analyst of Apple Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is expected to release four to six new products with display mini-LED in the next two or three years, including an iPad Pro the 12.9 inch high-end chip A14X in the third quarter of 2020 and a MacBook Pro from 16 inches up to date in the fourth quarter of 2020.

In a research note TF the International Securities, obtained by MacRumors, Kuo said that the display mini-LED “will significantly improve the productivity and entertainment experience” without elaboration.

LG Display and GIS will be the main suppliers of these products mini-LED from next year, according to Kuo.

Kuo has previously stated that the display Mini-LED will help you design products thinner and lighter, while at the same time, many of the same advantages of the OLED display used on the iPhone and more recent, including the good performance of the color gamut, high contrast and dynamic range and obscuring local black real.

Kuo has also previously stated that the future display for iPad and MacBook will use each one about 10,000 LEDS, as compared to 576 for the next Pro Display XDR Apple. Each LED would have a size of less than 200 microns.

It is said that Apple may refresh the iPad Pro in the spring of 2020 and, in this case, a new model for the 12.9-inch in the fall of 2020 would be highly unlikely.
