Kuo extinguishes all hope: “Apple does not integrate any fingerprint reader in the display of the future iPhone”
With the Face ID that has satisfied the majority of users, the age of the fingerprints in the house, Apple now seems far away. There was, however, still a doubt about the possibility of integrating this technology within the display, but the analyst Ming-Chi Kuo turnoff.
In a new note sent today to investors, Kuo claims that the Fingerprint technology On Display (FOD) will grow 500% by 2019, but only in Android phones. Apple, in fact, does not integrate any Touch ID in the display of the future iPhone, or in 2019 or after.
Until a few months ago, some rumor spoke again of the possibility to have a fingerprint sensor in the Apple smartphone, thanks to technology FOD that allows you to hide the sensor within the display. But Apple seems to be concentrated only on the Face ID and the improvement of facial recognition, and the recovery fingerprints would seem to be a step back.
The situation is different for the Android devices, seeing that in 2019 there should be, the boom of the display with fingerprint sensor built in. Between these, there should also be the Galaxy S10 Samsung.
