Jeffrey Dean Morgan: “The Batman of Flashpoint is the darker version”
The saga comic Flashpoint is set in an alternate reality in which Bruce Wayne was killed and his parents, Thomas and Martha, have become, respectively, the Batman and the Joker. The two characters were portrayed by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Lauren Cohan (both in the cast of the tv series The Walking Dead) in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Interviewed by Total Film, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, has spoken of the possibility of interpreting the Batman alternative in the film adaptation: “we will See. I mean, the DC is the DC and they will understand what they need to do. But I know very well the character and it would be the greatest thrill of my life to be able to wear the bat-costume.”
“For me, the Batman of Flashpoint, it is not only the darker version, but also the most pussy. I love his storyline, the fact that he is tormented and all the rest.”
John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, the screenwriters of Spider-Man: Homecoming, will direct the film.
In an attempt to change the past, Barry will create an alternate time line versions with evil Wonder Woman and other members of the Justice League.
Flashpoint will see in the cast Ezra Miller in the role of Barry Allen, Kiersey Clemon will play Iris West, Billy Crudup (Dr. Manhattan in Watchmen) will be the father of Barry. Ray Fisher and Gal In will appear in the role of Cyborg, and Wonder Woman. The Enemies (Rogues) should be the villain of the film. Ben Affleck could appear in the role of Batman.
Flash was introduced in the DC Universe movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, appeared in Suicide Squad and is back in the Justice League.
