Japan: because of the Coronavirus deleted events, cosplay, delays for your souls

The organizers of the 16^ edition of the Nippombashi Street Festa in Osaka, defined as “the biggest event of cosplay, Japan”, have cancelled this year for safety reasons related to the outbreak of the coronavirus COVID-19.

The parade of the event, which each year attracts over 200 thousand visitors, would have been held March 15 in the district of Den Den Town, a district known for shops specializing in anime, manga, and video games.

The cancellation of this event is just the latest repercussion of the outbreak of the virus in the areas of popular entertainment:

Bushiroad and Animax Musix are canceling and postponing events are sponsored up to the 19th of March;

the singer and actress Miku Ito has postponed the launch event of the single of the opening theme of the animated series Plunderer;

the colleague Yui Ogura requested the participants of the event Valentine's Day Party to use masks and disinfectants and to follow special procedures for holding foods; sanitation and similar have been requested by the organisers of the event Petit Asobi 15 and 16 February.
