The visionary director James Cameron is promoting the documentary dedicated to him the AMC Visionaries: James Cameron's Story Of the Science Fiction of ranging far and wide on his future projects and, more in general, not skimping considerations on the modern cinema.

Already protagonist of a number of declarations against the current against Wonder Woman, the director has once again expressed “versus” film about superheroes:

I hope that we will soon arrive at saturation point with the Avengers [...] Not that I do not appreciate that kind of film but there are other stories to tell over two hours of men without family loads of testosterone who do stunts and destroying the city [...]

Articulating his thought:

The market has forced the genre [science fiction] to be of type “the escapist” where there is no need for example to explain how you fly a spaceship and [...] The science fiction is certainly a genre-commercial and non-dramatic, but we must not think of it as anti-humanist. We are technological beings, the only species truly sentient on the planet, and today, as never before, we strive on a daily basis with some of the dilemmas posed by science fiction. [...]

In this regard, Cameron is back to talk about the following Avatar:

It will be a family drama, like The Godfather. Of course of a different kind, a different story but intrigued me with the idea. A saga of generations: same setting but different protagonists, shown from a different angle. What happens to the children of the warriors seen in the first film, once grown up?
