James Bond: Christopher Nolan out of the running in the direction of the new film
Christopher Nolan, director of the trilogy of the Dark Knight and Dunkirk, candidate for eight academy awards, was given as one of the directors of the next James Bond film. As reported by Digital Spy, Nolan was interviewed by BBC Radio 4 and has declared: “I will direct the new James Bond movie. Every time looking for a new director, my name jumps out.”
“I would love to do a Bond film sooner or later and I believe that these producers, Barbara and Michael, are doing a fantastic job. Sam Mendes has done an outstanding job in the last two films. Don't have a particular need of me. But the 007 films, I've always been inspired by and I'd love to make one, one day.”
“I love the character, i love his films, I have always been inspired and all those who have seen my films will find it obvious. But you devote yourself to a franchise, only if you can say something completely new. I believe that, at the moment, they are doing extraordinarily well without me.”
Daniel Craig will return for the last time in the role of James Bond.
The film will be written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, already writers of Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, and Spectre, and should be taken from The dreams don't kill, written by Raymond Benson and published in 1999. The villain will be the blind Pierre Rodiac. Christoph Waltz and Dave Bautista should be back in the role of villain interpreted in the previous Spectre.
Beyonce would be in talks to sing the main song of the new film.
