IPhone X from the best innovations of 2017, here is the comment of Greg Joswiak
Tom's Guide has published the list of the most important innovations of 2017, and among these figure the iPhone X. Greg Joswiak, vice president of product marketing at Apple, has issued statements to comment on this further recognition.
The iPhone X has won the award as “Best Overall” for its Super Retina Display, the Face ID and the processor A11 Bionic, considered to be among the best consumer technologies of 2017.
Greg Joswiak has declared that, in order to realize the Super Retina Display that integrates the first OLED panel ever used on an iOS device, Apple has had to make major efforts of the advanced engineering to create the panels better than the traditional standards of OLED panels, which often have colors too saturated. Joswiak explained that the iPhone X uses its own color management system, with a panel folding that integrates a number of circuits to the bezel and other technological improvements to make the OLED screen of the best around.
Talking about the Face ID, the leader, Apple has confirmed that the company has never planned to use the Touch ID on the iPhone X, in spite of the many rumor about it: “We designed the Face ID from the beginning and we have worked for years to create a system that is advanced and safe for facial recognition“.
It also speaks of the much-discussed notch on the top of the display: “The notch is one of the technological areas most densely populated ever made by Apple. Includes the 7 mega pixel camera, an infrared camera, an illuminator and flood, a proximity sensor, iun ambient light sensor, a speaker, a microphone, a projector, dot and all that server to power the system TrueDepth”.
The iPhone X has been awarded for the chip A11 Bionic, widely regarded as the best processor ever seen on a smartphone. Also in this case, Joswiak says that Apple engineers have put all their knowledge to create something really incredible and fast, with much of the neural engine, that powers the Face ID and all activities of machine learning on the new iPhone: “it's something really huge. No one can match him in a short time.”
Tom's Guide has also awarded the following devices, separated by category:
