IPhone OLED, 2018, with support for the Apple Pencil: the voices are becoming more insistent
After the TrendForce, the taiwanese site Economic Daily News reports that the iPhone second-generation X and iPhone X-Plus (they are obviously names provisional) will support the Apple Pencil.
In the report, which cited sources close to the matter, says that the support for the Apple Pencil will be an exclusive models OLED, then it is excluded the version of "entry-level" with the LCD 6.1". If this were to come true, it would be a great news for Apple, with the first iPhone in its 11-year history to support a stylus.
Introducing the first iPhone in 2007, the co-founder of Apple Steve Jobs said (talking about the solutions adopted by the competition) that no one wanted to use a smartphone with a stylus. At the time you spoke yes to a device that is completely revolutionary, with a touch display, but the optimization of space was a mirage. Today we use devices full-screen, and the introduction of new features combined with a stylus may make certainly comfortable.
Leaving aside the unfortunate case of Notes 7, the Galaxy Note series signed Samsung is the confirmation that on devices with a display that exceeds 6", the stylus can be very useful. And just as on the Galaxy Notes, who does not want, does not use the S-Pen, so the (rumored) support Apple with a Pencil on the future iPhone.
