IPhone 7 beats the Samsung Galaxy S7 in a comparison of the water-resistance [Video]
For the first time this year, Apple created two devices that are waterproof, resistant to splashes or brief immersion in water. This is what they say the data released by Apple, but actually, how do the new iPhone 7 against the liquid? Let's find out in this video comparison with the Samsung Galaxy S7.
Let's start from the assumption that the two devices have a security certificate that is different. The new iPhone 7 are in fact guaranteed with a protection of IP67, while the Galaxy S7 has a IP68 certified. The first digit of the code indicates resistance to dust, while the second to liquids. On the paper, then the Galaxy S7 should be more water resistant, but it will be really so?
On the web, we found a video that compares the water resistance of the two devices. The tests are conducted at different depths for a long time and the result is truly impressive. Despite the best security certificate of the Galaxy S7, the iPhone 7 is more than 10 metres of depth you managed to stay still functioning, even if with some small defect. The Galaxy S7 however, has suffered much more than the increase in depth and after a few meters it is off. Remember the fact that the Samsung smartphone is able to dive to a maximum of 1.5 meters for 30 minutes, while the iPhone 7 only at a meter for the same duration. These data, however, have been proven wrong by the test below, as the two devices are able to easily overcome their “limits of safety”, and only after several meters of depth have given way to the water.
