Inventec ships the first batch of the HomePod to Apple: the launch may be near!
Inventec, a leading provider of HomePod, has started shipping the smart speaker for Apple, with an initial shipment of “about 1 million units, according to sources close to the company. The long-awaited new product of the giant of Cupertino may then be short on the market.
Despite the first batch of the HomePod, it seems, has been shipped to Apple, an official release date for the smart speaker has not yet been communicated by the company. The latter, as you probably know, has confirmed in recent months that the device will arrive in the early months of 2018, a period that could go up – according to the tradition of Apple – from January to April.
The revenue of Inventec arising from HomePod should be limited to this quarter, because of the “poor” initial number of units sent. We expect, therefore, limited stocks, at least for the first availability.
