Instagram introduces video-group calls via the Direct!
Instagram has implemented some of the new features previewed and announced during the conference F8 Facebook held in May, as the tab Windows renewed, new effects for the camera, and, especially, the video-call group.
The video-phone group, which is a feature to rival services like Skype and FaceTime, can be launched by Direct, and allow the participation of up to four people at the same time. Users Instagram, via iOS and Android, can access that function without having to use a phone number.
Start a video group call is very simple: opening a conversation, just press on the appropriate icon in the shape of a camera. During the call, the video can be shrunk down and placed in a corner, so they can continue to use Instagram.
The video calls are perfect for groups. You can chat in video with a maximum of four people at a time. And if there is a video chat active in a group conversation, the video camera icon will turn blue. Click on the icon to join the fun. You can video-call your friends for as long as you like. When you want to leave a video call, click on the icon of the red phone located in the bottom.
As far as the new camera effects, these were made in collaboration with Ariana Grande, BuzzFeed, Liza Koshy, Baby Ariel and the NBA. According to these accounts, the effects are automatically activated in the camera of Instagram. Otherwise, you'll have to add them manually.
