Safe driving is a subject that is currently affecting the largest companies in tech. Most times the Apple has been invited to enable a security lock in iOS that prevents the use of the smartphone while driving.

This block, for the moment does not exist, but Apple was the first company to launch CarPlay, a technology that allows mirroring of the iOS in the on-board computer of your car, by adapting and simplifying the graphical interface to avoid distractions.

With iOS 10.3, Apple has added a further caveat in CarPlay which makes it easier to switch between applications. Drive the most-used apps are definitely “Music”, “Maps” and “Phone”. Up to now, to switch from one to the other, the user had to press the Home button virtual to exit the app current, then he had to locate the icon on the Springboard and finally touch it. These two steps are surely very simple, however while you are driving you should minimize the distractions. In iOS 10.3 therefore, Apple has added the display of the last three recently-opened apps in the side-bar: in this way, to switch from Maps to Music, you only need to tap the icon.
