Ideas for the bridge 2 June: Portorož and Piran, luxury at low cost prices
Portorož and Piran are the seaside resorts of Slovenia, which are only a 20-minute drive from the Italian border. Known as a seaside resort and spa, today Portorož has been dubbed by many as the monte carlo of the Adriatic, with the difference that here, the prices are low cost. It is possible, in fact, stay in luxury hotels, treat themselves to spa treatments, Casino play, all at prices that are not affordable. But a stay in this part of Slovenia offers much more: the historic village of Piran is reachable from Portoroz thanks to a cycle track, is surrounded by ancient walls and is full of history, art, and music. If Portoroz is a small Montecarlo, Piran is the small Venice: the Cathedral of San Giorgio, in fact, is a miniature copy of the one of San Marco in Venice. On the central square, is the statue of the most famous citizen of Piran, the famous composer and violinist Giuseppe Tartini, who was born right here.
