Huawei loses license Android from Google as a result of the ban of Trump

This morning we woke up with a shocking news for the world of technology, born as a result of the “ban” on the part of Trump, which prohibits to companies like Huawei technologies in the Us.

Huawei, which will soon extend it to other companies in the sector, has lost officially all of the licenses on the use of Android, with the exception of those Open Source. Google's decision comes after the Ban of Trump, who in recent days has literally declared war to the chinese giant.

In the immediate term, the implications of this manoeuvre will be that all the devices Huawei (and Honor) currently on the market, including those already purchased by users, will no longer receive any updates from Android without exceptions for security patches monthly. In addition to the exclusion from the programmes of the update, Google announces Huawei also from the use of its official App, including, for example, Gmail and the like.

The future of Huawei will most likely be away from Android and this is why, among other things, all of its future devices will not have any access to the Play Store, making almost impossible the use of the hypothetical smartphone. Of course, Google makes us to know all the models currently on sale will continue to take advantage of the store, the app and the security services without problems, but in the long term, without updates of the operating system, the various apps will be destined to remain incompatible with these models

For Huawei users’ questions regarding our steps to comply w/ the recent US government actions: We assure you while we are complying with all US gov't requirements, services like Google Play & security from Google Play Protect will keep functioning on your existing Huawei device.

In addition to Google, very soon, other companies in the united states may cease their relations with the Chinese giant. Some aspects are similar, we expect, for example, Microsoft may revoke the license of Windows for your laptop as the MateBook or Qualcomm and Intel which will be prohibited to produce chips for future models, and the current still in production. With a press release arrived a few minutes ago, Huawei informs us that the company is currently looking for a solution that will result in the extension of its ecosystem in order to “not let their own users, continuing to freely provide support and services, ensuring in the first order those yet.

Huawei has made a substantial contribution to the development and growth of Android around the world. Being one of the main partners at the global level of Android, we have worked hard on their open source platform to develop an ecosystem that have benefited both the users and the sector as a whole. Huawei will continue to provide security updates and after-sales services to every smartphone and tablet-Huawei and Honor existing, or those already sold or still available all over the world. We will continue to build a software ecosystem that is safe and sustainable, in order to provide the best experience to all users at the global level.

This could be a real turning point for the smartphone market with a possible birth of a new proprietary Operating Systems apart from Android (just like iOS for Apple). New hypothetical I KNOW owners could significantly change perception of the brand by the users but all of that could happen, not without great difficulty, including the adaptation of the app to the various new systems or the launch of new store infinitely inferior compared to other already well-established as the App Store and Play Store. A movement of this kind would be positive for the quality of many companies but, at the same time, destructive for others who could not withstand the pace, remaining excluded from the system.

(ANSA) – BEIJING, 20 MAY – China is to “support” his company in the appeal “to legal gun to defend their legitimate rights”: so the spokesman of the ministry of Foreign affairs, Lu Kang, on the suspension of the supply to Huawei updates of Android from Google.
The move is the effect of the insertion of the colossus of tlc Shenzhen in the black list of the U.s. commerce for reasons of national security, the last chapter of the clash between the Usa and China.

As expected and reported by Ansa, the Chinese Government has responded negatively to the thing, by initiating the series of legal actions to the United States. For the moment this is all that we know, but, anticipating multiple implications, we will recommend to all the updates on the matter in the next few hours.
