We already have a Chromecast and want to use it without having to necessarily buy a TV Box to look at lists of IPTV streaming on Kodi? With the right app you can view the channels lists IPTV on Chromecast. We can look in high resolutions all the channels on the satellite platform and the digital terrestrial platform, according to the list of your choice.

To take advantage of the IPTV on Chromecast (any model, even the Ultra) we need to install on your Android smartphone or tablet the app BubbleUPnP for DLNA/Chromecast, which is available free of charge with limited functionality.

To purchase a license to use and unlock all the features we can use the following link.

We turn on the TV with the Chromecast connected to our WiFi network and open the app BubbleUPnP on our smartphones.

NOTE: the smartphone and the Chromecast must be connected to the same WiFi network.

Make sure that the app be associated to the Chromecast by opening the left side menu and selecting the device right in the Renderer.

Chromecast is not compatible with many formats, and audio/video codecs used in the lists IPTV. To convert the streams we have to install an add-on for the app.

Open the app settings (Settings) from the menu on the left side.

We open the sub-menu Chromecast.

We click on the item Install local transcoding. The app will start downloading additional components to perform the transcoding from the smartphone.

NOTE: not all smartphones have the adequate power to transmit the converted video.

At the end of the installation of the add-ons we check that there is a check mark on Enable in the section of the Transcoding settings.

We can now add a list of IPTV on Chromecast.

We can retrieve the lists of IPTV for the events broadcast on satellite or on digital terrestrial television using one of the lists present in our dedicated guide.

NOTE: many lists are not provided in the correct format for the app, the more free ones available on the network last a few hours or minutes.

The app allows you to manage the lists IPTV format .m3u8 file, a simple file containing all the information for streaming. Move the list m3u8 file in the internal memory of the device or scarichiamola directly by the device portable.

NOTE: on Chromecast, the streaming may be unstable.

Open the app up and go to the item Library -> Internal storage

We open the path where we have moved, or saved to the list of IPTV in the format m3u8.

Open the list you will have all the streaming channels in the tab the Playlist, as in the image below.

Select any desired channel to begin playback on the Chromecast.
