House of Cards: the sixth season will be re-written without Frank Underwood
CNN Money reports that House of Cards will not be erased in spite of the dismissal of the actor, Kevin Spacey, interpreter of the corrupt President Francis J. Underwood. The showrunner Melissa James Gibson and Frank Puglia are in fact trying to rewrite the sixth and final season without the character of Underwood.
Apparently, the sixth season could begin after the murder of the President. In the television mini-series on the BBC, on which it is based, House of Cards, Francis Urquhart, the equivalent of the character, Spacey, you do kill to save the life of his wife. Claire, the wife of Underwood, played by Robin Wright, would become the new protagonist.
The Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey has been accused of molesting his colleague Anthony Rapp (Star Trek: Discovery) when the latter was 14 years old. Also several members, current or former employees, of the cast and crew of House of Cards, evidenced by inappropriate behavior on the part of the actor in the last few years, including appreciations heavy or physical contact inappropriate.
Accordingly, Netflix has fired Kevin Spacey from House of Cards. The actor was also removed from the new film of Ridley Scott, All the money in the world.
