Hellboy: there are no plans for a sequel
The reboot film of Hellboy on the part of distributor Lionsgate has not found the consensus of the critics and of the public in an attempt to bring back the popular anti-hero of Dark Horse Comics on the big screen.
According to the star David Harbour, the producers of the film have not been contacted to resume the role of the protagonist for a potential sequel, and still doubt that there are plans to build one, after the flop of the film.
“There are many people that really liked the new movie, and were happy to see him on the screen, but I know that in general I don't think it was very well received,” said Harbour, in an interview with ComicBook.com.
The reboot has grossed $ 21.9 million at the box office of the national with a production budget of $ 50, excluding the costs of marketing and distribution. The film was poorly received by critics, debuting with a 9% on-site aggregate Rotten Tomatoes before settling down to 13%:
“I think the idea is to go forward. The manufacturers I have only said ‘Good job’, I very much liked what I did, but I have not heard anything about a sequel...”
