Harry Potter: revealed the new covers of the novels for the twentieth anniversary

Published on Apr 11, 2018

To celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the release of Harry Potter and the philosopher's stone in the United States were revealed the new cover designed by the artist Brian Selznick.

Published Tuesday by Scholastic, the seven-covers black-and-white form, if side-by-side, a long poster (which can be seen in more detail here).

The new versions of the paperback books J. K. Rowling will be released on the 26th of June, followed, in September, a box set collection that illustrated by the same Selznick.

In the meantime, you can see these covers in the gallery below.

In this regard, Selznick said:

I am a huge fan of Harry Potter (proud Hufflepuff), and the request to draw the cover for the twentieth anniversary it was a great honor. I knew that a similar project would have brought with it the great responsibility vis-à-vis of the stories, as well as readers. I have revisited the books and I was particularly impressed by the relationships between the characters that make up the magical world of J. K. Rowling, so I made sure that the covers reflect this aspect. One of the most difficult but also the most rewarding of this process was to draw the seven covers independent, however, able to create a single image. Are served many drafts to get it, and I'm really excited to share my great love of these books with these new illustrations.
