Halo: Pablo Schreiber (American Gods) will be the Master Chief
Showtime has unveiled the cast for its television series Halo based on the series of video games of Microsoft.
As revealed last November, the series will revolve around Master Chief, who is also the protagonist of the games in the series, and Pablo Schreiber (American Gods, Orange Is the New Black) will be the protagonist. You do not know, however, if the version of Schreiber's character will be masked as its counterpart in video games or not.
The australian Yerin Has, instead, will play an original character in the Halo universe, Quan Ah. Quan Ah is described as a “sixteen-year-old bold of the Outer Colonies who meets the Master Chief in a time fatal to both”. Ah was chosen after a casting call took place all over the world and is known for its commitment to theatre in Australia.
The series Showtime will follow the plot already seen in the games, centred on the conflict in the 26th century between humanity and the alien race known as the Covenant. The show will combine personal stories of the deep with action, adventure and a vision of the future is full of imagination.
The series will begin production in Budapest, Hungary, in autumn. Halo is one of the franchise's most popular video games in the world, having sold over 77 million copies, and grossed over us $ 60 billion throughout the world since its first version in 2001. Kyle Killen (Awake) and Steven Kane (The Last Ship) are the showrunner and executive producers. The series is produced by Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey for Amblin Television in collaboration with 343 Industries, the current developers of games of Halo.
