Godzilla vs Kong, the first synopsis of the film and the new actors in the cast
Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Entertainment have issued the synopsis of the movie Godzilla vs. Kong, directed by Adam Wingard (Death Note, The Guest, You're Next), and out in theaters on May 22, 2020 — a year after Godzilla: King of the Monsters, coming in the May 31, 2019:
“In an era where the monsters walk the Earth, the struggle of humanity for its own future poses Godzilla and Kong along a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature clash in a spectacular battle of the era.
While Monarch embarks on a dangerous mission into unexplored territories, and brings to light clues about the origin of the Titans, a conspiracy the human threat to wipe out the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the Earth forever.”
Shun Oguri (Gintama, to debut in an american film) and Jessica Henwick (Marvel's Iron Fist) have recently been added to a cast that already includes Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things, Godzilla: King of the Monsters), Bryan Tyree Henry (Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse), Rebecca Hall (Iron Man 3), Julian Dennison, (X-2) and Alexander Skarsgård (True Blood).
The production of the film has officially begun in Australia, and Hawaii on November 12, 2018.
