Godzilla II – King of the Monsters, a closer look at King in the Battle
On their official Twitter account for the director Michael Dougherty (The revenge of Halloween) has released a snapshot of the film Godzilla II: King of the Monsters, that offers us a closer look at King in the Battle — one of the Titans, or kaiju, worshipped in ancient times as gods.
The photo allows us to make us also an idea of the size of the giant monster:
In Godzilla II: King of the Monsters, members of the agency and the Monarch will face a series of giant monsters, including Godzilla, who meets up with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the monster three-headed King in the Battle.
And when these ancient super species, then thought to be mere legends, they awaken and begin to fight for supremacy, the existence of the human race remains hanging by a thread...
The cast includes Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga (Up in the Air, The Conjuring, Bates Motel), and Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things) in the roles of father, mother, and daughter; from the prequel return to Ken Watanabe (The Last Samurai, Letters from Iwo Jima, Inception) and Sally Hawkins (Paddington, Blue Jasmine).
Godzilla – King of Monsters, to be released in May 2019, will follow the crossover-Godzilla vs. Kong director Adam Wingard (Death Note), scheduled for May 22, 2020.
