From jackets to sneakers, Gucci customer customize your garment
Gucci presents the second chapter of the service and DIY (Do It Yourself), which offers lovers of the brand new customizable product. After the launch of the project that has seen as protagonist the iconic Dionysus Bag, Milan Fashion week, the focus shifts to a broader program of customization, which includes men's clothing, jackets, unisex, and footwear for men and women. The service provides a dedicated area at the flagship store of via Montenapoleone in Milan.
The goal? Give customers the opportunity to express themselves through customization. The philosophy of the creative director, Alessandro Michele, which is rooted in the love for the punk attitude of the british, in fact, maintains that "clothing is an expression of their own personality and, consequently, that men and women need to feel of course free to express yourself."
Jackets completely intelate are available in various silhouettes for day and evening wear; blazers, tuxedos and coats are customizable with a wide selection of fabrics, buttons, appliqués and embroidery with initials. An important part focuses on evening-wear: the classic shirts are achievable with different variants of the neck and cuffs, and you can add symbols and monograms, to make the garment unique. The offer also includes biker vests in the exotic leathers and leather covered studs, and decorations, hand-painted, bomber unisex and denim jackets to which you can apply patches and embroidery that are inspired by the symbolic elements of Gucci like real snakes, flowers, and bees.
In addition to the clothing, the Gucci service DIY is available for footwear. The sneaker Ace can be personalized with embroidered initials in different colors. While the slippers are available in a variety of materials and colors, and can be customizable with the choice of the clamp (silver or gold), with the initials printed on the inner sole, and the possibility of adding on some models the application of a patch with a tiger head (in yellow, green, or blue). Finally, to the classic models, male New Signoria, laced, monk straps and loafers are offered in different materials and shades, and can be personalised with the initials printed on the inner sole.
