From an Apple document, the first clues about the launch date of the iPhone 8
An internal document circulated among Apple employees that work at the service AppleCare suggests to us that the iPhone 8 will be presented after the September 17.
In this document we read as follows:
As you know, there are ads and product launches expected in the month of September. To deal with the high volume of requests related to AppleCare, the company imposes a suspension of leave to the staff the AppleCare between 17 September and 4 November. Keep in mind that these dates are subject to change, as our expectations on the volume of requests may fluctuate periodically.
In the document, Apple speaks of “announcements and launches forecasted for the month of September, saying then that the high volume of requests for AppleCare are expected from September 17 onwards. Being 17, a Sunday, it is likely that the iPhone 8 will be presented in the next week and launched by the end of the month. It is not excluded, however, that Apple will have three iPhone in mid-September, launching soon iPhone 7s, and 7s Plus, but by postponing to October the marketing of the iPhone 8.
