Fast & Furious: the animated series on Netflix

ComingSoon.net announces that Dreamworks Animation Television and Universal Pictures will realize the the animated series of the Fast and the Furious for Netflix.

The series will follow the story of Tony Toretto, the young cousin of Dominic, played by Vin Diesel in the film franchise. Tony and his friends are recruited by the government to infiltrate an alloy of illicit street racing elite, organized by a criminal organization that intends to dominate the world. Vin Diesel, Neil Moritz and Chris Morgan, the producers of the film franchise, will be executive producers of the animated series. Tim Hedrick (Voltron Legendary Defender) and Bret Haaland (Julien) will be the showrunner.

In the meantime, in preparation for the spin-off film Hobbs & Shaw, focuses on the characters of Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham. Will be released on the 26th of July 2019 in the USA.
