Fast & Furious: Netflix will produce a new animated series
After Jurassic World, the two companies are now collaborating on a IP more fast and more furious. Yeah, Netflix is developing an animated TV series based on the universe of the series the Fast and the Furious, titled Fast & Furious: Spy Racers.
DreamWorks and Netflix have announced the development of the new series at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival in France. The announcement also came with a short video that introduces the series and which you can see above.
Fast & Furious: Spy Racers will follow the adventures of teenager Tony Toretto, the younger cousin of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel). He and his friends are recruited by a government agency to join an organization of racing in the hope to infiltrate a dangerous criminal plan, which aims at the domination of the world.
Tim Hendrick and Bret Haaland will be the executive producers that the showrunner of the Fast and the Furious: Spy Racers, with the first season scheduled to launch on Netflix in 2019. For now there are no confirmations on other connections with the film's live-action.
