Facebook Messenger launches group calling for iOS users
Messenger allows people all over the world to communicate with their loved ones, and millions of people use the group chat in the app to stay in touch. But there are situations where users prefer to talk with one another. Messenger already offers the ability to make calls, but now you can also make group calls!
With group calling, you can now talk with more than one person at a time. To get started, simply open a group and tap the call button audio. At this point you can choose the list of people in the group to call. All members are called simultaneously.
When you receive a group call, the experience is similar to receiving a call from a single person, except that the screen will show the group name and the list of members. We can accept the group call, ignore it or reject it.
If we are part of a group with an ongoing call, we can join the group by opening the conversation and tapping the call button audio. By tapping the button to end the call, leave the group, other participants will receive a tone that will alert the abandonment of the conversation from our part.
At the moment, the group call can be made maximum of 12 participants.
