Empyre: the origins of the conflict Kree/Skrull from C2E2

This weekend was held the C2E2, the event, held at Chicago, and dedicated in particular to the world of comics. As is tradition, was this the same Marvel that has made several announcements related to its editorial line.

In April will begin Empyre (HERE for the details revealed at C2E2), the new big event crossover that will see as protagonists the Avengers and the Fantastic Four, deeply involved in a conflict Kree/Skrull guided by Hulkling in a brand new dangerous alliance. The event was already introduced last December with a long self-contained story, but what are the origins of this war? For which reason there is so much hatred between the Kree/Skrull and the eori? Marvel has finally answered this question in a panel dedicated.

In the panel were revealed to the key numbers of the backstory of the event, including the historical numbers there is Fantastic Four #2, the number in which the first team Marvel will manage to fool the Skrull and causing them to turn into cows.

The next number is Avengers Annual #14, where the Avengers deal with Skrull a humiliation worse, making them lose the powers of shapeshifting.

Once again the tradition continues with the Fantastic Four. In Fantastic Four #257, the family will save the life of Galactus, but the latter will destroy later, the empire of the Skrull.

In Avengers #347, the Avengers will fail in the detonate the Nega-Bomb leading to the death of a large number of Kree. Later they managed to assassinate the Supreme Intelligence Kree.

During Secret Invasion, particularly in the number 8, Norman Osborn will kill the empress of the Skrull, Veranke.

Finally, in Guardians of the Galaxy #25 X-Men and the Guardians of the Galaxy have allowed the destruction of Hala, home planet of the Kree.

The crossover Empyre will be made available in toto by the six numbers, the first of these will be released in the States on April 15. Here is the synopsis of the first issue!

“The Kree and the Skrull have united under a new emperor, and the fleet of war is on a collision course with our world. On the moon, the Avengers are ready to strike with the full power of the most Powerful Heroes of the Earth. The borders of the space, the Fantastic Four are in search of a diplomatic solution. But if the two teams fail to work together to save the situation, things will only get worse...”

With a screenplay by Dan Slott and Al Ewing and pencils by Valerio Schiti, the event hear the stories of the Marvel heroes, was deeply involved in a historical conflict of the same story, Marvel: the war between the Kree and the Skrull. The war is now upon us and will be fought from two fronts, the Avengers and the Fantastic Four and the other a new and unified alliance between the Kree and the Skrull, led by a young Hulkling.
