Empyre: mini-series tie-in for Thor

The month of the debut of the next mega-event Marvel, Empyre, and closer and now are emerging details on all the titles tie-in that will accompany the event in grand style. Of course, even Thor will play his part!

In parallel with Empyre, Marvel will publish a new mini-series of three numbers with the protagonist Thor, whose debut is scheduled for may. In the new series, the god of thunder will defend Midgard once again, but this time her battle will be personal. Gaea, his biological mother and the goddess of nature is sick, and this has something to do with the return of the Kree and Skrull on Earth. It's up to Thor to unravel the mystery.

The mini-series will see to the texts of the Ram V (Justice League Dark, These Savage Shores) and Pasqual Ferry (Thor) pencils.

“I took the leap with the opportunity to write the tie-in to Thor for the event Empyre,” said Ram V a Comicbook. “He is one of those characters that are a perfect mix of all the things that I like. I tend to confuse the genres of fantasy and science fiction. I tend to play with the mythologies of the world, and I'll bring Thor in unexpected places, placing it in front of exciting new threats. Everything with designs from the glorious Pasqual Ferry, whose work has been unmatched. I believe that the fans will see thunder and lightning as had never been seen before. And I'm excited that will connect to the big event for Marvel this summer. It is a brilliant work in that context, weaving the story of Thor along with all the other brilliant authors involved!”

The mini-series tie-in to Thor will be composed of just three numbers. The first issue will be released in may!

The earth is under attack and Thor, the battle is personal! The journey to save her and all of Midgard will expand the pantheon Asgardiano in one direction all new! The writer of the critically acclaimed Ram V and the designer of fan favorite Pasqual Ferry, will bring Thor to the ends of the Earth!

The crossover Empyre will be made available in toto by the six numbers, the first of these will be released in the States on April 15. Here is the synopsis of the first issue!

“The Kree and the Skrull have united under a new emperor, and the fleet of war is on a collision course with our world. On the moon, the Avengers are ready to strike with the full power of the most Powerful Heroes of the Earth. The borders of the space, the Fantastic Four are in search of a diplomatic solution. But if the two teams fail to work together to save the situation, things will only get worse...”

With a screenplay by Dan Slott and Al Ewing and pencils by Valerio Schiti, the event hear the stories of the Marvel heroes, was deeply involved in a historical conflict of the same story, Marvel: the war between the Kree and the Skrull. The war is now upon us and will be fought from two fronts, the Avengers and the Fantastic Four and the other a new and unified alliance between the Kree and the Skrull, led by a young Hulkling.
