Dragon Ball, Toei Animation establishing a department for new projects
As you may recall in June of 2016, the publishing house Shueisha established an editorial department that is completely dedicated to Dragon Ball.
From 1 April 2018 a similar strategy will be implemented also by Toei Animation, the company that for over thirty years, the care of souls inspired by the saga created by master Toriyama: in the framework of a general reorganization of its divisions, will be established a third department, which is under the central branch of the production and planning of the souls, will focus mainly on the projects of Dragon Ball.
Mr. Atsushi Suzuki, manufacturer of a series of animated films in the Digimon Adventure tri. and the animated film Expelled from Paradise, will head the new department and will maintain the positions they already hold of the head of department of the executive, and the development of the business.
They will also rearrange the other two existing divisions, which, however, will retain the current tasks: the department that deals with anime for television will be renamed the Planning Division Department 1, and will head to the new Video section, Planning Office, 1, the Overseas Video Planning Video and Office Planning Management Office, the department that focuses on the souls in Computer Graphics will become the Planning Division, Department 2, and will check the new Video section, Planning Office, 2 and Media Planning Office.
Remember that the animated series Dragon Ball Super, ended with an episode 131 in December 2018 will see the light in the 20° animated film of the series. New projects are probably in the works for 2019 and 2020.
