Detective Pikachu becomes a graphic novel, the new poster international

After the game, and the resulting live-action, Detective Pikachu is ready to land even in the world of comics: as announced by Legendary, in fact, is coming in a comic book that will tell exactly the history of the film, without being a prequel or a sequel.

Legendary Comics is excited to announce the official @DetPikachuMovie the graphic novel adaptation. Follow Tim Goodman's journey through Ryme City, as he searches for his missing father with the help of a Pikachu with a penchant for coffee and danger. Get your copy of summer 2019.

In addition to seeing him in the halls, therefore, the fans will soon be able to admire the adorable (but not too much) mouse yellow version of the detective and his human friend Tim in the comic version; as you remember, this is the first time that the franchise of the Pokemon enters the world of the comic western, in spite of the success in the world of manga.

This is the official synopsis:

The world of Pokémon comes to life! The first Pokémon adventure live-action “POKÉMON Detective Pikachu”, in its original version, see Ryan Reynolds giving the voice of Pikachu, the iconic face of the global phenomenon of Pokémon, one of the trademarks of the entertainment multi-generational the world's most popular and franchise media the most successful of all time. The fans around the world will be able to see Pikachu on the big screen as never seen before, in the role of Detective Pikachu, a Pokémon like no other. The film also shows a wide range of beloved characters in Pokémon, each with their own skills and personality, singular and unique.
The story begins when the brilliant private detective Harry Goodman mysteriously disappears, forcing the son of 21 years Tim to find out what happened. To help in the investigation of the ex-partner Pokémon, Harry, the Detective Pikachu: an adorable, hilarious, wise and super-investigator who surprises everyone, even himself. Having found that the two are equipped to communicate with each other in a singular manner, given that Tim is the only human being able to speak with Pikachu, join forces in an electrifying adventure to unravel the intricate mystery. You are thus able to pursue the clues along the brightly lit streets of neon, of Ryme City, a modern and chaotic metropolis, where humans and Pokémon live side by side in a hyper-realistic world of live-action. Here they met a number of Pokémon, discovering a plot shocking that it could destroy their peaceful coexistence with the humans and threaten the universe of Pokémon.

The protagonist, of course, the historical face of the franchise, Pikachu, but as we know there will be space in the film for the other Pokemon: “I work closely with The Pokemon Company and Game Freak, all the production team has thought a lot about how to put the most number of Pokemon in the movie, also including the developments, trying not to narrow the field to only the fan favorite. We had only to choose which lent themselves best to the visual effects and the plot”.

Pokemon Detective Pikachu, directed by Rob Letterman, starring Ryan Reynolds as the voice of detective Pikachu, Justice Smith(Tim Goodman), Kathryn Newton ( Lucy Stevens), Ken Watanabe (detective Yoshida), Bill Nighy, Suki Waterhouse, Chris Geere, Rita Ora, and Omar Chaparro. The distribution throughout the world was entrusted by Warner Bros. Pictures (which should therefore replace Universal), while Toho remains the distributor for Japan. The film will be released in Italian cinemas on the 9th of may 2019.
