Defending Jacob: series trailer Apple TV+ with Chris Evans
While waiting for the emergency Coronavirus ends soon in all over the world, the Apple TV has released the official trailer for Defending Jacob, the series starring the now ex-Captain America MCU Chris Evans.
The new miniseries coming to Apple TV+ is based on the homonymous novel by William Landay; in the cast, in addition to Chris Evans, we also find Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey), 'jaeden Martell (EN), Cherry Jones (Succession)and Pablo Schreiber (Orange Is the New Black).
Written for the Apple TV+ by Mark Bombach (Logan, The Divergent Series: Insurgent), the miniseries starring Chris Evans in the role of Andy Barber, an assistant district attorney of the city of Newton, Massachusetts, is put in charge of the investigation into the murder of Ben Rifkin, a boy fourteen years of age went to school with his son Jacob ('jaeden Martell, Knives Out).
Initially, the investigations converge on the pedophile Leonard Patz (Daniel Henshall, Turn: Washington's Spies), but everything changes when a friend of Ben informs him that Ben and Jacob's relationships were not at all cordial, and his suspicions increase when inspecting his son's room, finds a knife, which seems to correspond to the description of the murder weapon.
Not knowing how to justify such a finding and continue to believe in the innocence of Jacob, Andy decides to get rid of the knife, before you know it the sweater of Well was discovered a fingerprint that the incrimina. Perhaps his son is not the person who believes to know?
