As reported in the last days, Takeshi Obata, famous and talented author behind the designs of Death Note and Bakuman. to name a few, will be making a new chapter manga special (one-shot) Death Notes, the work of the internationally successful serialized from 2003 to 2006 on Weekly Shonen Jump with the story of Tsugumi Ohba. The new work is titled “Never Complete”.

Today we learn the news about it from the point of view of the history and output of the same project spread from the June issue of Jump SQ, a monthly magazine the manga is published by Shueisha, which, among other things, houses the Platinum End. The manga mentioned is the current work of Obata with the story, as usual, Tsugumi Ohba.

Back to Death Note, we learn officially that the story of the one-shot will revolve around what the Shinigami (Gods of Death) cause when they descend on the world of the living.

The magazine also reveals that a portion of the manuscript will be revealed in July 2019, on the occasion of the exhibition dedicated to the author in question to celebrate his 30-year career. The event, entitled “Kagyō 30-began serialization in the October Kinen Obata Takeshi-ten Never Complete” (commemorative Exhibition of the thirtieth anniversary of the career of Takeshi Obata: Never Complete), to be held in Tokyo from 13 July to 12 August 2019, and the complete work will debut in the course of the fair.

Death Note was published in Italy by Planet Manga and the manga is born, literally, everything: the animated series, feature films, live-action, video games, movies, Netflix and much more.

Takeshi Obata, remember, is currently involved in the manga Platinum End for which, again, is the team with the story of Tsugumi Ohba.
